Maori's Tribal Tatttos

Weird Head Tattoo

Okay…I admit that I am one of those people that don’t really get why people would do this to themselves and get this particular kind of tattoo.  That said, I must still take my hat off to anyone that tattoos their head – because that has got to be some kind of pain!  This particular image is quite silly from behind, with crazy blue eyes and a toothy grin to gaze at you.  The striations in the eyes is well done, while the skull has had some liberties taken…and all this above some flames.  The top view gives us a peek at some brain matter.  Well, at least we know he has some!  An interesting and crazy tattoo!

Bold Tribal Design

A simple, bold design can really turn heads – but if it is not done well, then it can also make those same heads shake in pity.  One would think that simple black lines and patterns would be easy to do, but I’ve found almost the opposite.  If the artist is inexperienced or poorly trained, then a tribal tattoo will really show it.  Other designs can be more forgiving.  But this client walked away a happy man, I’m sure!  The pattern is interesting and unique.  The swirl on the top of the shoulder is placed well and the round, sun-like patters give it a lighter feel.

Fairy Fantasy Tattoo

Fairies are lovey creatures…I think.  Older fairy stories often do not have much good to say about them and their behavior.  More modern depictions are a bit more friendly and welcoming.  They represent fairies as a wonderful link to the natural world and are often shown as feisty females that protect the things they care about – be it a human or nature etc.  This is a beautiful fairy seen floating along in a leaf.  Her blue body is wonderfully done, complete with pretty little pink wings and pointed ears.  Her eyes peer out from behind golden hair.  The water is soft looking and reflects the blue and gold colors nicely.

Feminine Pegasus Tattoo

While a very feminine and girly winged horse, or Pegasus, this is also a well done and clean tattoo.  The mane and tail are flowing lively – the wings are fantastic, with great looking feathers.  In fact, the wing pressure appears to have dislodged some of the feathers and they hang in mid air whimsically.  The horse’s body has great movement and it does a good job of showcasing the head, legs and tail.  It is oh so girly – but manages to be fun and pretty at the same time.  The colors are very well blended, with great white and blue on the body.

Fashion is to Combine Tribal Tattoo

Get your body tattooed and that too with tribal tattoo designs has lately been in fashion. Tribal designs take you back to the olden times of glory. They remind of the rich culture of the past. In the ancient times, groups of people like the Celts, Egyptians and Aztecs used tribal tattoos for a variety of reasons.

They were considered to be a symbol of status and style and some people used these tribal tattoos to represent the varied facets of tribal culture. There are numerous tribal tattoo designs that you can consider. Popular ones are Celtic designs, designs of snake, cobra, phoenix, skull and lot more. However, today they are used mainly to flaunt coolness and to establish a style statement.

Nowadays, most of the people go for a combination of tribal tattoo design and modern design, as it looks creative and gives a different appeal. This blend of tattoos is getting widespread popularity among people nowadays. This is due to the simple reason that on one hand, it depicts the rich culture of past and on the other hand represents the modern culture of today and this is what adds to the excitement level.
Tribal tattoo design mixed with modern tattoo design creates a fantastic design. It looks classy, contemporary, funky and of course traditional. To get some good ideas regarding such blended designs, it is best to look on the internet for tribal tattoo design and modern tattoo design.
